Review: Vas

Vas Vas by Ker Dukey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Final Score - 5 Stars!

I thought I was in love with Vlad, then Ven came along. Now, Vas has come and he's kicked them both firmly to the curb. This one mo'fo you 1) don't want to mess with and 2) should NEVER under estimate!

I have been with this series from the beginning and now at it's conclusion, I don't want it to end.
I still have questions! What exactly happened to Vika? Or Alyona after the Games? What about the women in this tale ... I need more info about then. Can we at least a novella in the near future - *hint, Hint my author Ladies.

I cannot say enough good things about this book except to say if you don't stop and read it for yourself, you are seriously missing out. For real!

Review: Forgiving Keven

Forgiving Keven Forgiving Keven by Siobhan Davis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Final Score - 4 Stars

Now, I've been reading about these Kennedy Boys since the very first and I can keep going forever, but this one was just alright for me.  It did't quite hit the mark of the other books for me - I felt it was missing something - but all in all, it was good addition to the saga that I've grown to love. The book it well written and it was nice to re visit the old characters from the previous books to see where they are at in their relationships.

However, with regards to this book, I had a few issues.  The action and suspense had me on edge - for about half a minute before I figure out what was happening.  Maybe that was my issue ... the predictability?  Or it could have been the romantic aspect - no great build up, just a dump the one I'm with and Next!  Now normally, I'm all for this - if it's played out well and with a bit of maneuvering that is plausible.   This felt all too rush over for my liking.

Siobhan Davis has me as a fan for life, so I'm hoping that the next book in the series will reignite my love of this series.  Maybe it was off time for me to read this book - it was during the holiday and I had to take multiple breaks - so I'll re-read again at a later time.

IndieSage PR Hosted Book Reveal For VAS (V Games #3) by K. Webster & Ker Dukey !

Vas

by K. Webster & Ker Dukey
Publication Date: January 7, 2019
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Dark, Mafia, Romance

The Volkov name is one I longed for.
Their household is one I grew up in, but not as an equal—as a maid’s son.
This didn’t stop me from becoming a man to be reckoned with.
But even with my rightful name finally given to me, I still feel adrift.
Until her.

Everything I did was for acceptance.
Everything I lost brought me to my family.
To this life.
To her.

I fought for my status.
I fought for my sisters.
And I will fight to the death for my angel.

She has shown me there is light in our pitch-black world.
That the stars can’t shine without the darkness of night.
She is the stars, and I am the sky in which she shines.

There is evil lurking in the shadows we create.
The corruption and depravities of the First Families have become toxic and are infecting us all from within.
Games have been played, and now, they must end.

I am Vas.
Vocal. Voracious. Vindictive. Volkov.
A devil in love with an angel, and together, we’re going to rule Hell on Earth.

Ven

The Vetrov name comes with expectation.
My role in this world is simple: do as Father asks and live my life how he planned it.

My future is already written: run the empire.
Old Values. Old Rule. Old Money.
Until her.

Everything I do lacks purpose.
Everything I do is empty.
Women. Money. Power. It meant nothing.
Until her.

When the Volkov rose showed up at my home a disgraced package, hand-delivered by a Vasiliev prince, I began paving my own path.
I vowed to make her bloom once more.

She consumed me.
Her. Her. Her.

But you can’t love a rose and expect not to be damaged by her thorns.
She cut me too deep.
And I bled out.
My soul fled.
All that’s left is a cold, calculating monster.

I am Veniamin.
Volcanic. Victorious. Valiant. Vetrov.
When you enter my world to play games, prepare to lose.
In the end, I always find the thorn in my side, and I pluck it right out.

Haven’t read book one? Catch up here!

About K. Webster

K Webster is the author of dozens romance books in many different genres including contemporary romance, historical romance, paranormal romance, and erotic romance. When not spending time with her husband of twelve years and two adorable children, she’s active on social media connecting with her readers.

Her other passions besides writing include reading and graphic design. K can always be found in front of her computer chasing her next idea and taking action. She looks forward to the day when she will see one of her titles on the big screen.

About Ker Dukey

My books all tend to be darker romance, edge of you seat, angst filled reads. My advice to my readers when starting one of my titles…prepare for the unexpected.

I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters growing up.
My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light; some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling.

When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister.

Review: The Secret to Dating Your Best Friend's Sister

The Secret to Dating Your Best Friend's Sister The Secret to Dating Your Best Friend's Sister by Meghan Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Final Score - 4.5 Stars!

I absolutely adore Bram Scott and his never-ending love/devotion for his best friend’s sister, Julia. It's been years and the man still carries a torch for her - who can still say that nowadays? While I enjoyed the transition between the college years (when he met Julia) and now, at times I was a bit confused as to which Bram/Julia I was reading about.

Their vulnerability and unwillingness to effect the status quo of their relationship very much endeared Bram and Julia to me. It showed me that they took this monumental step seriously.
And let's not forget that their chemistry was off the charts - they just needed to be in the same room for the air to thicken!

Meghan Quinn has once again delivered another gem of a story as well a delectable couple.

Review: Damien

Damien Damien by J. Kenner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Final Score - 5 Stars!!!

I just loving reading more about Damien & Nikki Stark's life, but this book is ALL Damien - insight into his inner thoughts. Wishes. Desires.  *Cue the fans*

Now, I always had a feeling that there was so much more to Damien than meets the eye ... and boy was I proven right!  This book I have a feeling is just a taste of it - enough to wet our collective palates, but not enough to satisfy our thirsts.

Nikki and Damien have been thru a lot in recent events, which has left them both both spinning a bit out of control.  For this ultimate alpha, it leaves him questioning his role as their protector.  But Damien being Damien is not one to let things out of his control for long and he's on a mission to protect those he loves - whatever the cost and sacrifices he has to make.

I hope to see more Damien-centric novellas in the future as I would love to see of more of the inner workings of his mind.

Review: Pretty Little Player

Pretty Little Player Pretty Little Player by J. Kenner
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Final Score - 4 Stars!

Cayden Lyon and Gracie Harmon are great characters and carry this second installment of the series quite well.  The secondary characters are just as entertaining and are the icing on the cake as far as I can see. I cannot wait for the next installment in this series - and I'm literally dying cause I need it right now with who the series is about and subject matter!

Cayden & Gracie attraction is almost instantaneous, but these two have a lot of issues to overcome to make it a HEA (trust issues and a deranged stalker).  But once they do, and things heat up between them, they may have just found in each other the very thing neither one can live without.

This insta-love story is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat; and while it was a fast paced & quick novella, it had me from the very first page the last!

Review: Finding Alexei

Finding Alexei Finding Alexei by Kendall Ryan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Final Score - 4.5 Stars!

Kendall Ryan has outdone herself with this fantastic story!  I was immediately hooked from start to finish with this sweeping, sugary epic love story.  Such strong, likable characters, Alexlei and Ryleigh don't have the greatest of starts to their relationship, but even so - their love story hold up and will stand the test of time.   They both have such good and pure hearts and a willingness to help others, how could their love ever fail?

And let's not forget that steamy chemistry or the quick whited banter - these two deliver both in spades!  It was enjoyable to read and hilarious to witness.  Chalk full of emotion, plenty of sexy times and two people nothing short of destined to be together - I recommend you get on the train and RUN out to get Finding Alexei.  You won't regret it!

Foreword PR & Marketing Hosted Release Blitz for WHERE BAD BOY ARE RUINED by Holly Renee !

Release Date: December 5, 2018
Cover Design: Artist Regina Wamba

Synopsis

I ate leftover cupcakes and cracked macarons for breakfast.
I was ninety percent sure he simply ate up girls like me.

I was covered in paint splatters, cake batter, and sweat the first time I met him.

He was covered in badass tattoos and a smile that seemed to hold a secret I would never figure out.

Rule number 1 was never, under any circumstances, fall for the man who I wrote my lease check to.

So, I tucked him away in the “Fantasize Only” compartment of my brain and called it a day.

But he didn’t make it easy.

He was arrogant, funny, and the biggest flirt I had ever met.

Most of the time, I didn’t know if I was just a game to him.

If I didn’t know better, I’d say he was on a mission to ruin my life.

And maybe my heart, too.

Review: Where Bad Boys Are Ruined

Where Bad Boys Are Ruined Where Bad Boys Are Ruined by Holly Renee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Final Score - 5 Stars!

Where Bad Boys are Ruined the third book in the Good Girls series and they say that the best is often saved for last last ... and they are often right. Especially if they are talk about this one. Best. RomCom. Ever!!! This book had me both laughing and crying in hysterics - no small feet, let me tell ya! I hate that the series is at an end - I'm gonna miss the hell outta my girl - but I've got to say, if you're gonna go ... go with smile. And I certainly did.

I have loved every moment we had with this group of friends, I've truly felt like I've been hanging out with my besties. These friendships are real and inviting and we quite frankly need to see more of them in real life. They knew each other, their ins and outs, likes and dislike, and that just endears them to me all the more.

The previous books had more angst, conflict, and emotional turmoil, but this one was such a light read where friendship really was the center stage. But of course it still had plenty of sexy times, fun, and witty banter.

So come join Charlie, Brandon and the gang for last hoorah. I guarantee you wont be disappointed in this delicious if not sweet opposites attract romcom.

Review: My Favorite Half-Night Stand

My Favorite Half-Night Stand My Favorite Half-Night Stand by Christina Lauren
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Final Score - 5 Stars!

This book blew me away with it's own unique brand of cheekiness, wacky, sensual, LOL moments I had such a difficult time putting it down, but alas a girl needs sleep - and sadly this girl needed some!

Millie and Reid ... I'm not sure who I was frustrated more with!  I wanted to bash them against the other's head quite frankly speaking.  I could see the writing on the wall that these two "got" each other in a way no one else would.  Their emotional journey towards that is what solidified their endearing qualities to me.  I totally ship and heart Millie and Reid.

I loved the slow, in depth build up of getting to know these characters, flaws and all.  I do hope that Ed and/or Alex gets their own book.  I would love that!

This is a definite must read if you love reading about the ups and downs of the dating scene & trying to find the one - as well as the comedy of trial and error that takes place along the way.  Christina Lauren has written a gem that leaves in you both laughter and tears but with good feelings afterward that will surely have you running to tell your closest girlfriends about.
