Review - Unwrap Me

Unwrap Me (Stark Trilogy, #3.9)Unwrap Me by J. Kenner

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Final Score - 5 It Really IS A Wonderful Life Stars!!!

Tis the season for family and friends to get together and just relax and be as one. Jackson, Sylvie, Ryan, Ollie, Jamie, and even Little Ronnie too. All gather for the festivities at one of Damien's homes.

And of course Little Ronnie has Uncle Damien wrapped around her little fingers - I pity Jackson & Sylvie when this child turns teenager! Sylvie is now 5 months pregnant and of course, or naturally, the topic of babies turns to when Damien and co. will supply their inner circle with Little Fairchild/Stark's.

Let's hope it's in the not to distant future - I for one would LOVE to see Damien melted by a mini version of his sweet Nikki.

Throwing the What if? aspect was nearly comical for me to read - I don't quite see thing having happened that way - but it was plausible and thank good it was after-all... just a dream.

To find out who's, you'll just have to figure that out for yourself.

Review - Uncoverd (Colours of Love Series, Book 2)

Uncovered (Colours of Love, #2)Uncovered by Kathryn Taylor

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Final Score - 5 WHY DOES SHE STAY Stars?!

At this point, Jonathan is coming across as an A$$. He wants only what he wants, on his terms. But, he wanted to try with Grace. That's not how this works Jonathan!!!

And she stays?! She puts up with his moods, his flip-flop attitude, his indifference, the rage, all for what? Scraps?

I wanted to throw this book SO many times in frustration at the both of them! Sometime, it's just better to walk away. I would a long time ago. I guess Grace still sees something in him, that I just can't.

Nice twist there about his parents... although, I kinda felt it would head in that direction. I guess that and Sarah & Alex's relationship is why I stuck around til the end.

Now... about that ending... FAN-FRIGGIN'-TASTIC!!! I would have made him squirm a bit more though - the man has put her through an emotional ringer! And she still was giving him affection during his apology. UGH!!! Someone needs to teach her how to stand up BETTER for herself!

Now, onto the conclusion... oy vey!

Review - Unbound (Colours of Love Series, Book 1)

Unbound - Colours of Love (Colours of Love Series Book 1)Unbound - Colours of Love by Kathryn Taylor

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Final Score - 5 WHOA, WHAT DID I JUST READ Stars!

So, Grace is inexperienced in ALL things - life, men, sex, etc. She flies to England for an internship, and immediately upon landing meets her "new" boss and falls for him? Ignores everyone's warning and pursues him to the distraction of becoming known as "office slut" to her work colleagues?

Does this novel scream ANTI-WOMAN'S LIBERATION to me or what? The answer: Yes... and no.

Right now, I really don't know how I feel about Grace's blind trust/faith in Jonathan - the man has done NOTHING but say that she's quick easy lay & that's all she'll ever be. And yet she comes back for more and MORE each time difficulties come up.

I have sneaking suspicion that after I finish this series, I'll want to hurl my iPad at the nearest wall and scream "WHY DID I READ THAT"? But... also, at the same time - I have to admit I too am intrigued by enigmatic Jonathan and what his "damage" is. Cause lets face it - from Day 1, he's shown some damage not only in his actions, but also his body language & interactions with others. The only people he's let close enough to him are his sister, but even that has it's limits. Yes, I want to peel back his layers and discover just what makes him tick.

So... onto the next book it is for me!

Review - The Game Plan

The Game Plan (Game On, #3)The Game Plan by Kristen Callihan

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Final Score - 5 WHAT AN ENDING TO BEHOLD Stars!!!

Fi and Ethan did not disappoint and were the perfect couple to explore in this LAST book of the series. Grant, they suffered the highs and lows of trying to balance life, love, and distance in a new relationship... but they weathered the storm, together somewhat.

That explosion just before the end has been gearing up for sometime, but like Fi said, "Better to get it out then have it break you."

I'm sad these characters are now gone, but they will live on for me (I plan to re-read this at a later date). And who knows, I can smell a spin-off series in the wings...

Please? *cheesy grin*

Review - Autumn in London

Autumn in London (The Empire State Trilogy, #2)Autumn in London by Louise Bay

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When I first saw this book on a blog suggesting that I shouldn't turn away, at first I was skeptical. I mean, haven't you heard that before?

Was I ever WRONG! This book was amaze-balls!!! Anna and Ethan connect from the first moment their eyes met, and even though it was just supposed to be a fling, against their better judgement and those pesky rules, it has turned into so much MORE!

Now if only 3,000 miles (he's based in NY, her in London) and those rules didn't separate them! But, I have a feeling a good thing like what they have, can only be kept at bay but for so long... but, the rules are still in play!!!

And their relationship has moved from FLING to genuine LOVE. Yet, they dare not to speak and only enjoy their time together until he has to head back home to New York?! WTF?!?! *anger emoji*

These two better put those rules to the way-side or else their going to miss out on their chance!
