Review - Owning Violet

Owning Violet (The Fowler Sisters, #1)Owning Violet by Monica Murphy

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

While I enjoyed the book, I was disappointed over several things that were left out which has me wondering the following:

1) Will Father ever find out just who he's dating?
2) Will "she who must not be named" ever pay/suffer for what she's done?
3) What exactly happened to Z? He just disappeared after the "big almost announcement"...

I hope these answers will be revealed in the next few books, cause I'm still scratching me head. The ending felt abrupt.

All in all, loved the book... but be prepared for unanswered question you'll have in your head. Thus my rating.

Review - Captivated by You

Captivated by You (Crossfire, #4)Captivated by You by Sylvia Day

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Gideon has done it again! Made me fall even more in love with love with his flaws, commandeering attitude, and of course, the stamina! We simply can't forget that the man is a S-E-X god!

Seriously speaking though, there were plenty of moments that I did want Eva to just walk away, never turn back. I don't believe she was being unreasonable with her wants/needs. These two are not only deeply troubled, but are emotionally wounded individuals. In the end though, Gideon & Eva really are the glue that holds each other together, whole. You can't have one without the other.

I can't wait to see how the challenges presented in this book are dealt with in the next. Just... please don't make me wait another nearly year and a half for it?

Nine Minutes (Nine Minutes, #1)Nine Minutes by Beth Flynn

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I'm still reeling from the ending! I can't wait to see what's covered the sequel. Great book!!!

edited to add in on 7/26...

Just finished rereading this book again, as OUT OF TIME was just released.

Still emphatically #TEAMGRIZZ!

Now, one with the next part... oh boy, I don't know if my mind, heart or stomach can take it, but I'm gonna try!

Review - Stepbrother Dearest by Penelope Ward

Stepbrother DearestStepbrother Dearest by Penelope Ward

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What can I say about this book? I felt as if I was consistently flopping between two strong emotion during the entire reading - anger and frustration. Anger with how Elec treated Greta ... and frustration over when then would give in the obvious attraction between them. Overall, this book just lit me up with happy and sad tears. All there is left to say is - You don't want to mess this ride!

Review - Echoes of Scotland Street

Echoes of Scotland Street (On Dublin Street, #5)Echoes of Scotland Street by Samantha Young

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cole has always had a special place in my heart and seeing him get his happy ending... just brings it full circle. A happy little accident that I found the first book in this series - I've been hooked forever more since. This latest installment, to me, introduces us to a possible new character & book. At least, I'm hoping for another book in this series, it's just that good!

Love... Love... LOVE the whole series!

Review - Keep Me Safe

Keep Me Safe (Slow Burn #1)Keep Me Safe by Maya Banks

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I don't quite know how to feel about this book... In my head, I saw it developing one way but reading it had gone & done a complete from what I expected. I don't know... maybe it was the subject matter - not for the faint of heart - that tried to turn me off. The love story was too quick in my opinion to start. However, regardless of all these things, I stuck with the story and was overall satisfied with how it ended.

Review - Something More

Something MoreSomething More by Ella Jade

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Liked the story, but felt that it needed just a bit more of an explanation as to how the events at the end came about... along with an epilogue to see how things worked out because of it. All in all, a great quick read for those who believe that sometime you find the right people at the wrong time.

Review - Wallbanger

Wallbanger (Cocktail, #1)Wallbanger by Alice Clayton

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

From the first moment I started to read the first sentence, let alone the first chapter, I knew this book would have me in its grasp! Thoroughly enjoyed every train/bus riding, lunch break, late night reading of this book. So much so, as a gift to a dear friend/co-worker, who went on vacation recently, I bought her the e-book and it's sequel to read and enjoy along with me!

Review - Before Jamaica Lane

Before Jamaica Lane (On Dublin Street, #3)Before Jamaica Lane by Samantha Young

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Watching Liv and Nate navigate the tricky road of friends w/benefits to genuine lovers with true feelings was often painful and hard to read. I cried many a tear but was rewarded with the realism of it all. All in all... a great addition to the series. Eagerly looking forward to reading the next one!

Review - Fall From India Place (Dublin Street #4)

Fall from India Place (On Dublin Street, #4)Fall from India Place by Samantha Young

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have to admit... There were several times while reading this that I wanted to bop Hannah over the head. Her fears and pseudo-explanations were driving me to my breaking point! However, once it became clear what she was in fact holding back, I could see her side of things. Granted, no one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes. But the lesson is learn from them and move on, which she eventually did. I don't know how I would have been able to, in her shoes, but to me, it was plausible and true. Again, I was a bag of tears after reading this one, but all in all... by far one of my favorite reads.

Review - Wrecked

Wrecked (Barnes Brothers, #1)Wrecked by Shiloh Walker

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Loved it! From beginning to end, Zach and Abby had me laughing with joy or crying with frustration and tears over their missed chances. I'm happy with the way the book ended (it was realistic) and I've even bought the book within the book, the Wreck It Journal!
