This book put me thru the wringer! I need a minute to collect my thoughts …
I am still NOT okay! This book nearly destroyed me. These characters will haunt me for a long time to come, esp Callan and Darcy. My poor Astrid ... words cannot express my sadess at what you went through. Betrayal, especially by those closest to you is never an easy thing to overcome. You were such a force to be reckoned with. This book ... it needs a place on my shelf - an will definitely get one.
Be perpared for ALL the emotions going in - you will not come out unscathed - but hopefully, you too will be infused with a sense of pride, joy, resilliance that Astrid and Callan managed to aschieve.
