Review: Among the Heather

Among the Heather Among the Heather by Samantha Young
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Final Score - 5 Epic Love Stars!!!

Among The Heather is book two in The Highlands series but can be easily enjoyed as a standalone. Although I highly recommend the series and you'd enjoy it even more reading in order.

We first meet Aria, who is the estate manager at Ardnoch, and North, an actor in book one. These two characters wasn't really expanded upon, but we got just a nibble to peak our interest in seeing them in a book together or their own books. And that nibble has turned into a tasty bite that sunk my teeth into cause these two are FIRE together.

Aria at times did make me want to bang my head against the wall - she has thing about actors and has major, valid trust issues - as I felt she was consistently setting up North for failure with her expectations. However, in understanding her issues, you kind of forgive her, especially as seeing how when she opened up about her past relationships, it caused North to open up and divulge secrets regarding about his past. These two lost souls were the missing parts of each other they never knew existed. I absolutory adored the way their antagonism of each other blossomed into a friendship and later into something more. A true progression was shown and I felt it.

This series has me excited and I can't wait for the next book, especially after that sneak peek! Theo Cavendish. I don't think we'll be ready for him, but something tells me the ride will be definitely worth the wait!
