Review: Hey, Mister Marshall

Hey, Mister Marshall Hey, Mister Marshall by Saffron A. Kent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Final Score - 5 Stars!

They always save the best book for last and this one is NO different.

Poe's somewhat childish antics in this book left me wondering why she put herself out there - at time with single minded focus. Whatever ploy/scenario she came up with, she was never able to get the reaction from Mr. Marshall she desired. Her backstory helped clear up that. Alaric was a tough nut to crack; at times I was rooting for the latest deviant plot Poe would hatch/direct his way. There had to be more than just the cold fa├žade he would direct towards her. And there were times he was truly awful to her.

These two were bitter - towards each other, towards life for the hand that they were dealt - but also their vulnerability broke my heart and made me ache for them.

This is the ultimate enemies-to-lovers story - I was glued to it for 24 hours straight. The slow burn - and I do mean SLOW BURN between these two was palpable and drool worthy. I especially loved reading the animosity between them - cuz you just knew later on that the sex would be EXPLOSIVE - and boy, am I still in recovery! *hawt*.

I want to put myself thru all the turmoil, angst, and ugly cries once again. It's over! *insert cry emoji*

Poe + Alaric 4 eva
