Review: Hey, Mister Marshall

Hey, Mister Marshall Hey, Mister Marshall by Saffron A. Kent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Final Score - 5 Stars!

They always save the best book for last and this one is NO different.

Poe's somewhat childish antics in this book left me wondering why she put herself out there - at time with single minded focus. Whatever ploy/scenario she came up with, she was never able to get the reaction from Mr. Marshall she desired. Her backstory helped clear up that. Alaric was a tough nut to crack; at times I was rooting for the latest deviant plot Poe would hatch/direct his way. There had to be more than just the cold façade he would direct towards her. And there were times he was truly awful to her.

These two were bitter - towards each other, towards life for the hand that they were dealt - but also their vulnerability broke my heart and made me ache for them.

This is the ultimate enemies-to-lovers story - I was glued to it for 24 hours straight. The slow burn - and I do mean SLOW BURN between these two was palpable and drool worthy. I especially loved reading the animosity between them - cuz you just knew later on that the sex would be EXPLOSIVE - and boy, am I still in recovery! *hawt*.

I want to put myself thru all the turmoil, angst, and ugly cries once again. It's over! *insert cry emoji*

Poe + Alaric 4 eva
