Where do I even begin? This book had me on an emotional rollercoaster due to the subject matter. And while I normally enjoy these types of books, I don't know - I found myself having a difficult time getting into the mindspace to read this book. But I pushed thru and I'm glad I did. I enjoyed it, but it's not my favorite of J. Kenner's.

I wanted to enjoy the story, but the chemistry between Liam and Xena felt somewhat forced and fizzed out for me after about two chapters. I'm really hoping that there is another installment to the series (the epilogue seems to hint at one) - as I'd love to see these characters again and get back that fire and passion I've felt from the previous books.
