I hate admitting to reading books out of order, especially when I'm a stickler for reading books in order, but i have to say - that's so not the case with this one! Knowing that the first books in the series have to do with Lenora's grandchildren make me happy I started here first!
I loved reading about Lenora's childhood and her romance - but more than that - it's the story of how she came to embrace her destiny as the future ruler of her country. I was utterly captivated by
her strength of character and purpose. I could not put this book down and read it one night! I can't wait to sink my teeth now into the other books in the series - as I now have some wiggle room between ARC's.
And lets not forget how romantic to was to read. I loved her friendships with Archie, Thomas and her eventual romance with Edward. Swoonworthy! The romance is between Lenora & Edward doesn't start off without a hitch, but its a quick one with no fallout except them falling in love. I loved this book. It's another win for Emma Chase.
