Review: All My Life

All My Life All My Life by Prescott Lane
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Final Score - 5 My Heart is Bursting Stars!

This is my first book by author Prescott Lane and what an introduction!

This book is chalk full of sweet moments - there are flashbacks of the H/h childhood and that of their teen years when he became a teen parent raising his daughter without her mother; there were also flashbacks of the daughter's childhood and how the heroine helped to raise/guide her, all while secretly loving the Hero (the man is completely oblivious to this).  Then you have the father/daughter relationship dynamic which is cute and endearing.

One often doesn't find a book about a young, single teenage father - they are so rare - so this one a bit of a challenge to read as I did't know the circumstances that lead to this momentous event.  It was written realistically and well - which drew me immediately in.

There were situations that happened that left me seriously frustrated with this book at times, but overall I loved the message of the book.  It's a story about finding love, even when you've given up all hope of it becoming a reality.  It's also about parental love and making the tough decisions to make sure that your child is taken care of emotionally.
