Review: Hold Me

Hold Me Hold Me by J. Kenner
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Final Score -4.5 Stars!!

I don't think I'll EVER be able to stop reading any novel/novella about Damien & Nikki! I can't get enough of them and their lives. They're one of my favorite couple ever to date, followed closely by Jane & Dallas and Sylvia & Jackson.  Ms. Kenner has once again written a novella that satisfies my need for MORE D&N after I finished reading Anchor Me.

This novella takes place about a year after Anchor Me and is about Damien & Nikki's life after adopting a child and having one of their own. Nikki is of course trying her best to have the best of both worlds, as most women do after having children.  However, life proves difficult for her when she has to go to the office and miss her babies' horribly.  She feels the guilt most mother's face when going back to work - missing out on her children's "firsts".

Damien, as always is protective and supportive of everything/anything Nikki does. I will never get tired reading of Damien's love for Nikki ... you can just feel it through the pages as it if it was a live entity. He's one of the most amazing male characters I've read so far, and his love for his family hold NO bounds.

This novella - to me - is great extended epilogue, if you will, to Anchor Me and is definitely worth the read.  I'm not nearly done with D&N and I hope Ms. Kenner isn't either ... because I want more!
