Review: His Alone

His Alone His Alone by Alexa Riley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Final Score - 4.5 Stars

This book had some similarities with the 1st book, but it was also different as well than the first in the series and all other AR stories for that matter. And while the pacing of this book was slowed in some ways, I was satisfied overall with HEA - which the writing duo of Alexa Riley has always provided in the past.

We still get the wildly obsessed alpha hero in Ryan, but he felt somewhat dialed back compared to Miles. Although he WAS really obsessed with Paige, as uncovered later on in the story, he was hiding his kind of crazy ... a little too well.

Paige was by far my favorite character in this book. She had a playfulness to her, but she could be serious at times as well. Her most favorite form of entertain was driving her "Captain" loco with pent up frustration & desire. She expertly knew how to rile him up but also knew when to tone it down. She also had a vulnerability and keen sense of justice to write a wrong done to her when she was a child.

I enjoyed getting my fix of my strong alpha male. This story has definitely hit the spot - if you know what mean *wink*
