Final Score - 5 What The Heck Just Happen? Stars!!!

***I received an exclusive ARC of this book***

This was my first reaction upon finishing the book. The big build up to why exactly Becca was keeping a secret from her fellow peers fell flat with me. I think there is more to the story there, so I can't say I enjoyed learning of this secret until I hopefully read more about it in the next book.

I will say that WOW! It really appears as if High School hasn't changed that much from when I was attending some 20-something years ago. I remember being the new kid, the outcast. But unlike Becca, I had people try to make me feel welcome. I did not have anyone trying to make my life hell because of where I came from.

To me, this was the real meat and bones of the story. Why was Kendall so against Becca? What exactly are her reasons? There's is the story I want to read & understand.

The friends that Becca did make were the other part of the story I enjoyed, esp Evan. Here's the guy she should want, but does. And he wants her too. But, is it too good to be true? Can she trust these new people, this new school to escape from her past?

I was left with my jaw on the floor, because I did not expect what happened to go down. Nor the reasoning for it. All I can say is ... bring on the next book, I have some major question that need to get answered.
