Review: Wicked Dirty

Wicked Dirty Wicked Dirty by J. Kenner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Final Score - 5 Wickedly Good Stars!

This was not what I was expecting!  However, once I started, I couldn't put it down.  Lyle and Sugar  engrossed & touched me with their story.  At times, I was balling tears of sadness but during others tears of great joy.

Sugar Laine is in dire need of money & fast to save her beloved home.  Lyle Tarpin, is the hottest movie star around.  How could an average "working" girl ever entice let alone land Hollywood's latest hot commodity?  With an awkward first meeting, hot secrets, & great chemistry!  Throw in a fake engagement and you have the makings of a tender love story, with heart and sustenance.

I have been invested in Lyle since he was first introduced - he's just so private!  Too private.  It takes Sugar to draw him out of the shell he's locked himself away in - to not only confront him demons, but to stop living in the past and live for a future.

What I love about these series books is that the reader doesn't need to read the first in the series to know where you are.  They act as complete standalones, with characters from the previous books making a surprise appearance every now and again.  I serious love that - revisiting the past and honoring it. I highly really recommend you read this one and you find out for yourself.
