Review: Mister Tonight

Mister Tonight Mister Tonight by Kendall Ryan

How does one ring in the fun to their 30th birthday?  Well, if your Kate ... it consists of making eye contact with a hot guy, getting slightly inebriated, and then following him back to his place for a little fun between the sheets.  What's a quick way to ruin said birthday fun?  Your hookup's daughter walking in on you both ...

Hunter and Kate meet at a bar.  The attraction is instantaneous and neither one can forget about the other.  Especially since their bedroom antics were interrupted.  But what's even more awkward than a four year old walking in on you?  When you show up the next day as the new tenant.  And that's when the story really picks up pace!

I loved everything about this book ... the awkward day after, the lingering awkwardness of the days, weeks, months that follow.  It was all about Hunter and Kate trying to find that balance between landlord and tenant and to see it grown into a genuine friendship and later romantic relationship ... that's what kept me glued from the beginning to the end.

Mister Tonight is chalk full of funny antics, sexy chemistry, and deep emotions.  The fast pace of the book didn't leave me feeling as if I had missed anything.  There is no drama and the characters are mature and responsible adults with no childish behavior - other than the four year old (which is to be expected).  What could be better than that?
