Review: Defiant Attraction

Defiant Attraction Defiant Attraction by V.K. Torston
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Final Score - 4.5 Stars!

This is my first book by V.K. Torston and I have to say - it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!

She has mixed a tale of dysfunctional families & opposites attracting into an epic tale of forbidden love. This book is gritty, emotional, unstable and in the end a beautifully crafted love story. It gives the hope that in the end - love is all you need to overcome the harshness life throws at you.

Sophie is a good girl - she's studious and determined to make something of herself. Dan however is has already been labeled by everyone - he's simple TROUBLE. Their lives are thrown together when their parents meet and decide to live together - forcing Sophie & Dan into a living situation neither one wants. Together under one roof, their parents are locked in a destructive relationship cycle that neither one wants to break, leaving Sophie and Dan with no real out.

Overtime, Sophie and Dan find a mutual attraction - but how do they act on it when the world perceives them to be siblings? How can they stand against a judgmental world that really does not understand? This is the ultimate tale of the strength of love - of one's self and another - whether young love just starting or old loves dying out.

V.K. Torston has created your not so ordinary romantic tale - these characters are deliciously flawed and imperfect. The intimate moments between the characters are both graphic and intense, and leave you in a constant state of flux. However, the romance of the love story shines beautifully through and one can't help but root for these two throughout.

I didn't want it to end!
