Review: Misbehaved

Misbehaved Misbehaved by Charleigh Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Final Score - 5 Mr. James-sinning Stars!

Never have the following words been more true - "Sometimes secrets ruin lives. But sometimes they save them."

That was deep - especially when you consider the source, an 18 yr old student telling her teacher why their love affair should not be kept in the dark. I hard core LOVE Remington, aka Remi. Not only is she bright, but despite the negativity in her life, she's working towards not being a statistic. She wants more out of life, and frankly speaking, the girl deserves it!

Pierce James has secrets that he keeps close to the vest. A teacher at Remi's school, he's hiding behind his no nonsense exterior, but there is so much more to him than that.. He is excellent at his job, but there's something about Remi that calls to him. This attraction wasn't anticipated and could cost him everything.

I don't want to spoil anything so I'm going STOP RIGHT HERE. What I will say is this book is so much more than a taboo romance. The side characters had deep/real stories. Remi & Pierce's relationship was angsty, hot, and just everything to be honest.

This story was full of everyone having secrets, but the hidden message I took away was that everyone has, within themselves, the power to determine you own story and how it plays out - by not letting life's circumstances determine the direct of your life. This was also a story about forgiveness and understanding. It was so juicy, so enthralling, so So SO GOOD!

Charleigh Rose has successfully transitioned from smutty erotic novellas into emotionally charged smutty new adult stories. And while I adore their unique brand of "smut", this book has new adult written ALL over it and I need MORE.

Side note - I finished with Mr. James late in the night and I needed a minute (more like overnight) to process ALL that is/was his epicness/greatness. I also needed to fan the hooha for an hour as well😂😭
